All portraits are bespoke and one of a kind.

I have tried to price my family photography and non commercial studio portrait time as affordable as possible.
All shoots take time, from setting up the lighting all the way to the finished edited photograph.

I want to take beautiful photographs of people who are looking for them.

Every time I try to take the best photograph I possibly can at that moment,
trying to make it better than all the ones I've taken before it

It's not about placing someone in front of the same basic background & lights every time,
tell them to smile & take the same photograph over & over again.
It's about capturing a moment.

From the first enquiry, customers are invited to come to the studio for a quick chat.

Here we will discuss what type of portrait you are looking for, who the person is, and how you want them to look.

We will talk about different background options, and the type of lighting you would like.

So when you arrive for your shoot, we all know the style and feel of the portrait you are looking for.
From then, we will book a time slot which is convenient.

A deposit is required at the time of booking.
This is because I have to prepare the lighting and backgrounds for every shoot in advance, as each one is unique.

And also because there are a limited amount of sessions available each week.

I have many years of experience from my time working on lifestyle / at home shoots for Hello and OK magazines where we would use the home as a location, showing off both your family and home to it's best potential.
Or these shoots can be done at home, or at any location of your choosing, maximising the potential of the shoot in some of the wonderful landscapes in south west Scotland. Using natural light or exterior studio flash, to create that magazine editorial look.

This includes removing any light blemishes the middle my have the misfortune to have occurred that day, as we all need a little tidy up at times, and I want people to get the best photograph they can.

I will also spend some time enhancing the colours etc, to make the best possible image.
